About Me

My photo
I grew up and still reside in the Puget Sound region of Washington State in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where I have always shared a love of the outdoors with a hidden passion for photography. In 2009, after years of sitting at a desk, I escaped from my cubicle so I could spend more time working behind the camera. My new office is a Jeep and I can typically be found scouting locations on the road or on a life-changing journey such as the 42-day, 6,700 mile road trip I took in the fall of 2010 down the Pacific Coast and over to the Grand Canyon. Completely self-taught, my photographic vision stems from an adventurous spirit, overactive imagination and naturally restless soul that are constantly evolving through discovery and execution. My primary interests are landscapes and nature but honestly, I'll shoot anything that catches my eye. I’m proud to display my view of the world within. I hope you like what I’ve done with the place.

NASCAR Sprint Cup at Auto Club Speedway - Fall 2010

I just happened to be driving through California on my way to the Grand Canyon during the Fall Sprint Cup race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. These are some shots I took from the grandstands. #14 Tony Stewart was the race winner:

A couple of weeks ago I was rooting around in some old photos I had stored in a shoebox. It's been at least a few years since I last viewed them. It's a mish-mash of pictures from when I was a kid up until about the time I was in my mid-twenties (when digital cameras came out).

I found several shots that I had taken that I think show the budding signs of a serious photographer. I decided I'm going to scan them and post them here with comments.

Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures from my early digital camera days. Those were lost about 3 years ago when my main and backup computer both fried their hard drives within a week of each other. I was able to recover a few, but most of them were damaged beyond repair.

Should be a fun project. A hui hou!
